To sum up the unique nature of this wedding can only be told by Bethlene and Brock. Fortunately, both their description of the day and Blossom Productions’ highlight film was featured on Style Me Pretty.

As the day unfolded, we literally had their story handed to us. From Brock’s creative touch, personal vows, butterflies, sheep, Bethlene’s dance with her father and so on…. this was a wedding where almost every element had significance to them. This WAS a wedding with a tad of Pennsylvania history mixed with Old Hollywood flare.
Gabe and I both are from PA but, when we lived in CA, I distinctly remember missing the summer nights filled with the sound of crickets…therefore, ending this film with the songs of crickets was a nod to Bethlene and Brock’s roots (the crickets were really there as the two kissed outside on the lane!).

We recently filmed Katherine & Craig’s wedding at Appleford in Villanova -catering by Jeffrey A. Miller Catering. There is a sweetness and kindness that radiates from (and between!) these two. Katherine chose the song for the video below and it worked perfectly within the edit. We finally had the opportunity to also work with Todd Zimmerman of Pictures by Todd Photography. While we might be looking through similar lenses, his vision of the day is singular and especially in Todd’s case, just beautiful. All the lovely flowers were presented by Jessa Sommerfield of Sommerfield Designs.

Last winter, we were honored to have been accepted as Little Black Book Members and one of our submissions was featured. I am re-posting this highlight film because Chrissy and Joe recently celebrated their one year anniversary. Filming, editing and then preserving this piece was a career highlight for us.

The film captures a rich, timeless and beautiful look and when it’s seamlessly edited into the video, the results are stunning.

How do you capture the adoration, the tradition and especially the love between individuals during a 10 hour wedding day in just 3 minutes? Well, it’s a challenge for sure. What we can thoughtfully edit and tie together in the highlight film allows our couples and their loved ones a glimpse of what’s to come.

Rave reviews from the Mother of the Bride (whom we adore) reminds us that even a glimpse of video can speak a 1000 words. “O.M.G…….Alicia….it’s fabulous! Robin sent the highlight video to me at work this morning, and all I could think of as I watched it is that my mascara is running! I loved the way you did the voice-over of Allison at the beginning when she gave her speech…wonderful. I absolutely cannot wait for the entire video to arrive!

A Chinese tea ceremony, a “first look”, the Ketubah signing, a Jewish Ceremony and a fabulous Reception…all held at the beautiful Hotel Sofitel Philadelphia.

Wow…what a beautiful wedding nestled in the coolest of places-the Fishtown section of Philadelphia. Kelley and Ali Kemal wed at Front and Palmer .
Kelley began her day at JuJu Salon and Organics in Queen Village and from then on, everywhere we turned, the touches they created and chose were symbolic of their relationship….an elephant, prayer flags, color scheme, the pin on the dress…

Stephanie Pryor Designs wove these aspects into the stunning paper she designed. The dance floor was always crowded thanks to our new friends at Hi-Society Entertainment.Many of Ali Kemal’s loved ones flew in from Turkey so, preserving these people on film (especially when they are throwing him up in the air!) took on even greater meaning…those moments are reminders that we really love what we do. Another thing we love doing? Is working alongside talented, skilled photographers like Kass and Eric Mencher. We took advantage of an empty Front Street to get the shot we just knew we had to have…

I think the moment that said it all was when Ali Kemal first saw Kelley walking down the aisle…..enjoy the wedding film highlights!

Maren and Ryan were married at the Old St. Joseph’s Church with a reception at the Atrium at The Curtis Center in Philadelphia. We had the pleasure of working with Phillip Gabriel Photography for the day (we have them to thank for the evening shot of Maren and Ryan!). Events by Onstage and Off handled the many the details and design elements of the day. Those stunning flowers were provided by Eventricity-wow! Maren wanted the theme of classical columns woven throughout the day and I would say that was achieved-check out the cake!

After viewing this short piece, Maren shared some words with us, “It is so amazing!!!!!!!!! You’ve really outdone yourself! You captured all the important pieces we discussed. I love the shot of the grandparents, the locket, the bracelet……it’s so perfect! My mom says she just keep watching it over and over. It’s so unbelievable! I can’t wait to see the entire film!!!!!”. It was our honor!

We first met Alicyn and Ross on a snowy day in the winter of 2011. We filmed the story of how they met, the progression of their relationship and finally, the ever-growing anticipation of their April wedding for a Love Story Narrative. By all of us meeting in person prior to the wedding, we (at Blossom) were able to fully understand who Alicyn and Ross were as a couple-after all, personalizing the film for them is essential.

I was also looking forward to their big day! Having the opportunity to film at The Phoenixville Foundry was on top of my list (the stunning renovations and design that has gone into this historical site left me speechless).

When their day finally arrived, we were met rain, rain and more rain. Suffice to say, the weather was no match for Alicyn and Ross-our most spectacular moments were at Valley Forge Park (Note to any couples reading this who fear for rain on their wedding day: hair can always be fixed, wind can only make movement in film even more spectacular and gray clouds make colors pop!). Dave of Siousca Photography was a pro at working with the natural elements as well, I must add! Topping the night off, was the beautiful (and very fun!) celebration at the The Phoenixville Foundry with Starr Events.

Alicyn and Ross’ story will eventually be featured in their wedding film and we’ll make sure to sample it here….in the meantime, here is a glimpse of one of our favorite couples…

Rachel and Jonathan’s Wedding Highlights from Blossom Productions on Vimeo.

We were looking forward to capturing Rachel’s wedding this past year partly due to the fact that we had filmed her sister’s Erica’s wedding in the fall. It’s always an honor for us when we’ve been asked to film not one but two weddings within a family. We had witnessed Rachel supporting Erica on her day and now the roles were reversed. We may see familiar faces from the previous wedding but, at the end of the day, the couple is still unique in our eyes as well. Rachel and Jon’s ceremony and reception were both held at The Westin Philadelphia. Again, we marveled at the talents of both Evantine Design and Eventions-the evolution of the ballroom at The Westin was both stunning and magical. One of the highlights was working with NYC based musicians Starlight Orchestra. They were out of this world! It was definitely not a surprise when one of the most poignant moments of the evening came from Erica’s toast to the newlyweds. Her words seem to say it all.
